Lewis Hine in Europe: The Lost Photographs, Kaplan

Often haunting, this work presents a selection of pioneering photojournalist Lewis Hine’s ‘lost’ photographs, documenting the human devastation of World War I. Italy, Greece, Serbia, and previously German-occupied areas of France and Belgium are the settings of most of these photographs, made on assignment for the Red Cross.
